PSFCU Executive Director's meeting with the First Lady of the Republic of Poland
During a September visit to Poland's capital, our Credit Union's Executive Director Bogdan Chmielewski met with Poland's First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda. The topic of the meeting was to discuss initiatives supported by the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, including the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, as well as cooperation in supporting children's hospices in Poland, organized as part of the Children's Holiday Smile program.
The eleventh edition of our charity event will begin in the second half of November. This year we will collectively raise funds to help the underprivileged:
Foundation Help Them Hospice for Children in Sochonie near Bialystok,
Hospice of the Good Samaritan in Lublin,
St. John Paul II Hospice in Bielsko-Biala of the Salvatorian Hospice Association.
The Children's Holiday Smile Campaign, organized jointly with the Children's Smile Foundation in New York, is under the honorary patronage of the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, and thanks to the generosity of our Credit Union's members, over the past 10 years we have been able to help needy children in Poland and the United States to the total amount of $1.2 million. We encourage everyone to take part in our charitable action. Together we can do more!
