Overdraft Privilege Program

If the sum of payment orders exceeds the account balance, we can cover the overdraft in two different ways: standard and extended.

What You Need To Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees:

What is the standard vs. extended overdraft privilege coverage? We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:

Transactions Covered with ODP Standard ODP Coverage
(No action required)
Extended Opt-In Coverage
(Your consent required)*
Checks X X
ACH-Auto Debits X X
Recurring Debit Card Payments X X
Online Bill Pay Items X X
Teller Window Transactions (on-us checks only) X X
ATM Withdrawals X*
Everyday Debit Card Purchases X*

To Opt-In to the Overdraft Privilege Extended Coverage for everyday ATM and debit card transactions, please fill out and send us this form. You can also Opt-In by logging into your Online Banking and sending us a secure message.

We also offer alternative overdraft protection plans:

  • Auto Transfer where you can link your accounts;
  • Checking Line of Credit

Both options may be less costly than our Overdraft Privilege Program overdraft practices. To learn more, ask us about these plans.

We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

What fees will be charged for paying overdraft?

  • $29 for each overdraft
  • For consumer and business accounts, there is no limit on the total of NSF fee per day. For consumer accounts, there is a limit of Max 5 ODP Fees ($145.00) per day that we will charge for overdrawing your account
  • We will not charge an ODP fee if a personal/sole proprietor account is overdrawn by first $5.00 or less or of the amount of the item is $5.00 or less , for each negative balance term. These exceptions do not apply to business accounts
