Eligibility criteria

  • All applicants must be primary PSFCU members who opened their accounts prior to 01.01.2025.
  • Freshmen students (undergraduate) are not eligible.
  • Minimum overall GPA is 3.4
  • PSFCU Scholarship may be obtained once at each stage of studies, e.g. one as an undergraduate and one as a graduate. Graduate students must complete at least one semester at the graduate level to be eligible.
  • You are eligible to receive the scholarship only if you plan to attend an accredited educational institution in the Fall semester of 2026. All scholarship winners will be required to present a proof of enrollment for that semester. Undergraduate seniors may apply only if they plan to attend a grad school in the Fall semester of 2026. The scholarship funds can be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, supplies or equipment required for courses at the educational institution.
  • Scholarship winners will be required to present proof of enrollment for the fall term before receiving their scholarship.
  • PSFCU employees are not eligible for the PSFCU Scholarship Program.

 

Scholarship application and submission instructions

2026 PSFCU Scholarship Application

PLEASE NOTE! Applications must be filled out online only. Each applicant will receive a verification number after the application is successfully submitted. Please keep this number for your records. The verification number is the only proof that the application was received by PSFCU.

Miniumum required cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher must be met, otherwise application will be automaticly rejected. If the GPA is not stated on the transcript. an official letter from the admissions office confirming the overall GPA must be attached to the transcript.

Most current, full academic transcript with overall GPA must be provided. Partial transcripts will not be accepted.

All required documents should be submitted/uploaded in the following format: last_name_first_name_file_name.pdf, eg. Kowalski_Jan_transcript.pdf; Kowalski_Jan_ACT.pdf

All required documents must be submitted with the application. PSFCU will not contact applicants if any of the documents are missing. PSFCU will not accept documents sent by email or mail. 

Faxed, mailed, e-mailed and hand delivered (left in PSFCU branches) applications will not be considered.
 

Deadline for submitting application

February 20, 2026

Application received after the deadline will not be considered.

 

Letters of reference

  • Not required

 

Scoring criteria

  • Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate their academic and extracurricular achievements.
  • The Scholarship Application asks for supporting proofs of academic achievement such as the current GPA and the transcript. These are not the only qualifying criteria for the Scholarship Committee. Sustainable commitment to the communities that the PSFCU represents and serves and promising perspectives for the future play integral roles in this application.
  • Candidates are encouraged to adhere to the standards of the application submission.
  • The applicant's length of PSFCU membership will be taken into consideration.

 

Program results

Winners will be notified via email. Rewards will be distributed during the award ceremony as a monetary certificate, which must be deposited into an account at PSFCU. 

 

Additional information

PSFCU Scholarship may be obtained once at each stage of studies, e.g. one as an undergraduate and one as a graduate. Undergraduate freshmen are not eligible even if they earned enough credits to be considered as a sophomore for their college. Undergraduate seniors will be considered as undergraduate students, so their application will be automaticly rejected if they got a scholarship as undergraduates in the past. Graduate students must have finished at least one semester on their graduate level to be considered.
