Twelve participants will take part in a structured internship that focuses on various aspects of Polish culture and society, including language development, historical education, cultural exchange and sightseeing. A meeting at the Chancellery of the President of Poland is also scheduled as part of the program.

PSFCU will cover all costs associated with accommodation, meals and activities in Poland during the internship. Additionally, PSFCU will award each participant with a scholarship up to a maximum of $1000 toward educational purposes.

Eligibility criteria

  • All applicants must be primary PSFCU account holders.
  • Sophomore through senior students at the undergraduate level may apply. Freshmen students (undergraduate) and graduate students are not eligible.
  • Applicants must possess proficiency in the Polish language at a communicative level.
  • Past winners are not eligible.
  • PSFCU employees and volunteers, and their children are not eligible for the Summer with the Catholic University of Lublin Scholarship Program.

The program is open solely to US Citizens and permanent residents. You must have valid travel documents.

 

Internship Dates

June 17 – June 25, 2026:

June 16 departure from USA – June 25 – departure from Poland

(Selected participants must arrive at the designated meeting place in Warsaw by 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 17)

 

Internship Program

During the internship program, participants will attend language workshops, meet with Catholic University of Lublin authorities, and visit the Presidential Palace. Additionally, there will be media workshops and sightseeing tours of Warsaw, Lublin, Kazimierz Dolny and Krakow, including a visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Participants will also take part in a Jasna Gora appeal and other activities.

Additional information

Scholarship winners will be required to present proof of enrollment for the fall term before receiving their scholarship.
Participants will need to cover the costs of their airline ticket and medical/travel insurance for the duration of the internship. 
Participants need to provide PSFCU with a copy of the purchased airline ticket and proof of travel insurance at least 3 weeks prior to departure.
